Day 2 & 8 COVID-19 Travel Package and Day 2 – Home Tests
The Covid-19 Travel Test Package includes 2 Covid-19 PCR swab test kits (Day 2 test and Day 8 test). This is a home test package where the test kits are sent out to your quarantine address for testing at your convenience. These will be sent to you by paid courier and should be returned to our lab using the prepaid package while maintaining your period of mandatory quarantine at the UK address specified on your booking if you are mandated to quarantine. We cannot change the address your test kit is dispatched to without confirmation that you have updated the Passenger Locator Form, which is a requirement of the UK Government.
Each test kit will include full written instructions (PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE PERFORMING THE TEST). The test kits should be delivered to you within 48 hours of your arrival into the UK (Your arrival date is classed as day zero) allowing time for you to take the day 2 test. Each test kit will need to be activated on the laboratory online portal provided in the instruction leaflet. Sending the test kit without activating the test will cause delays in generating your test result. If you have any issues with the activation process, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We aim to deliver your test results within 24-48 hours of the sample being received at our Lab but if there is any unforeseeable delays, we will try to inform you.
Day 5 Test to Release – Home Test
If you have chosen the option to purchase a day 5 Test to Release PCR swab (at an additional cost ) this will be sent to you separately, arriving by day 5 of your mandatory quarantine in the UK. Full instructions will be included with the kit and the swab should be returned to our lab using the prepaid packaging. This test needs to be activated as in the instruction leaflet to avoid any delays in generating your results which we endeavor to email to you within 24-36 hours of RECEIPT AT THE LABORATORY. If your test result is negative for COVID-19 infection you will be allowed to end your quarantine but you will still need to perform and send the Day 8 test kit.
When booking your Day 2 & Day 8 quarantine test, Day 5 Test to Release or any of our PCR Covid-19 swab tests, you agree to Northend Clinic sharing your personal information with Nonacus Laboratory for the purposes of processing your test, providing your results and sharing necessary data with Public Health England and the Department of Health and Social Care.
Payment and Refunds
Northend Clinic will only offer a refund against PCR testing services on the following parameters:
- There is a 14-day period from the date you place your order in which you can change your mind, and you may cancel your order to obtain a full refund. This does not apply if we have already started to provide our services before the 14-day period ends, in which case, any services already carried out will not be eligible for refund and we reserve the right to deduct compensation to cover costs already incurred. We will inform you of your eligibility once we receive the order cancellation and the relevant party dealing with your request within the Returns/Refunds team have assessed your request.
- You then have 14 days to return the COVID test kit to us from the date of cancellation (if applicable). For hygiene reasons, the COVID test kit must be returned unopened and undamaged to receive a refund.
Due to the expiry dates on the sample kits – we are unable to offer a refund after the 14 days have lapsed since you have received your sample kit. We are unable to put the sample kit back into circulation due to the deterioration of the sample fluid inside the vial. Due to a Health and Safety conflict – if we receive opened sample kits, this exposes the kit to elements outside of our control and then prevents the sample kit being put back into circulation. If they are returned and received by us, we will destroy without hesitation.
When returning your COVID test kit for a refund you must pay for the postage to return the kit back to our head office.
Payment will be taken from the credit or debit card provided at the time of booking through the Stripe payment portal. COVID-19 PCR test bookings and payments can only be accepted online.
If you meet the refund criteria above, there will be a 15% administration charge from Northend Clinic and refund takes upto 3-7 days to get into the card that was debited for the purchase of the kits. There is full refund if you cancel before the test kits have been dispatched.
We do not take any responsibility or offer any refunds for inconclusive or void test results, including void results due to failure of the test kit that we provide. We may in our discretion offer replacement tests in these cases.
Please note: The above returns policy refers to change of mind only and does not affect the statutory rights you have as a consumer e.g. the right to cancel, or the right to return items, which are faulty or not as described or a general right to return most online purchases under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Any information we may provide in this regard to you over the phone, in writing or on our website is purely advisory and we take no responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of such information.
We also advise checking for regular updates from relevant authorities .
Subject to ‘Payment and refunds’ if in delivering our Services to you we fail to comply with these terms and conditions, we shall only be liable to you for the purchase price of the Services.
Subject to below, to the extent permitted by law, we, other members of our group of companies and third parties connected to us hereby expressly exclude:
All conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity;
Any liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user in connection with our website or in connection with the use, inability to use, or results of the use of our website and Services, any websites linked to it and any materials posted on it, including, without limitation any liability for:
Loss of income or revenue.
Loss of business.
Loss of profits or contracts.
Loss of anticipated savings.
Loss of data.
Loss of goodwill.
Wasted management or office time; and for any other loss or damage of any kind, however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable, provided that this condition shall not prevent claims for loss of or damage to your tangible property or any other claims for direct financial loss that are not excluded by any of the categories set out above.
Nothing in these terms and conditions limit our liability for:
Death or personal injury arising from our negligence.
Fraudulent misrepresentation or misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter
Or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Please review the booking carefully and ensure all the details are correct. Please carefully check the correct UK postal address details have been entered as we can only deliver test kits to the quarantine address provided on your booking form and no other alternative address. We will not be responsible for any incorrect booking details provided by you.
If you do not receive an email confirmation within 10 minutes of booking, please check your spam or junk email before contacting Northend Clinic on +44 (0) 151 728 3155 or email@example.com. We can only respond to the email address provided at the time of booking. Our usual response time to emails is 3 hours during our normal opening times (Monday to Friday 09:00 to 20:00 and Saturday / Sunday 09:00 to 16:00)
You must have a confirmed booking test reference number from NORTHEND CLINIC prior to travel to the United Kingdom. You will receive a confirmation email to let you know your booking test reference number which starts with the prefix NTEND. Please retain this for your Passenger Locator Form. This should be received by automated email within 10 minutes of your booking payment. The same booking confirmation email with have a Questionnaire which you need to complete soon after payment as we have to report this sale to the Department of Health and Social Services on the same day of booking.
Northend Clinic will do its best to ensure that your Day 2, Day 5 and/or Day 8 COVID-19 test is delivered for testing and confirmation of result is within 24-48 hours of receipt at Nonacus Laboratory. However, Northend Clinic cannot guarantee a delivery date for results and does not accept any liability for delay that may arise from testing or test results, including transmission of swabs by Royal Mail, Private Courier services, or delay arising from high volume of testing at Nonacus Laboratory.
A (Monday to Friday only) courier delivery service to your quarantine address is included in the cost of your testing package. Bookings received after 2pm on a weekday will not be dispatched until the next working day. Northend Clinic cannot accept any liability for delay in delivery of tests by third party postal or courier suppliers.
Nonacus laboratory aim to provide all test results within 24-48 hours of receipt but there will be circumstances when these timescales cannot be met.
In booking a Quarantine, or Test to Release Covid-19 test package you accept Northend Clinic cannot accept any liability for, or refund the costs of the testing package, or any other additional costs or expenses caused by late delivery or provision of your test results when this is caused by the delay of third party delivery, your failure to activate the test kit or send it back to the Lab on time or Nonacus laboratory services.
Passenger Locator Form
You are required by the UK Government to complete the Passenger Locator Form online before you arrive in the UK; or, if you later decide to add a Day 5 Test to Release PCR swab after you have arrived in the UK if this wasn’t submitted on your original PLF. https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk
